Design Process

Good design is clear, concise and tangible. Through my design, your content becomes visible, accessible and comprehensible. Thanks to the finely tuned tonality, they reach the viewer not only cognitively, but also emotionally. And thus anchor themselves in the long term and sustainably. Tell me about your project.

How I design

You’ve landed here with a concrete project for which you need a design? That’s great! If not, I can advise you on your questions first.

I am particularly well versed in the areas of identity, book design, editorial design and event communication. They all share the challenge of creating design systems that are scalable. A strong idea based on your positioning forms the foundation and gives it lasting success. Because this saves you time and money in the long run!

The results are stylistically reduced and decisive. Design as decoration does not exist with me. Carefully selected fonts, a distinguished colour palette and a distinctive design grid form the core of my designs.

The special power of my results lies in the fact that they do not emerge from a known scheme and blindly follow short-lived trends. I work on each project individually according to its requirements. In this way, you not only create visibility, but also an emotional connection to your audience.

Numerous prizes, awards and publications confirm my path. But much more important: satisfied clients with whom I collaborate on equal terms and who have placed their trust in me again and again for many years.

How we collaborate

  1. Our dialogue
Our start is a meeting – preferably on site. In addition to many content-related questions, it is of course also about what words cannot convey and how we function together.
  2. Your individual offer
After our conversation we both know what exactly you are looking for and need. I will make you a personal offer as a concrete plan for our next steps.
  3. Your message
You have something to say. That is exactly why you are here. What you want to communicate, how, why and to whom, we will sum up in a few key statements: your message. Our goal is to make this message tangible. You can find more information about this process under Design Consulting.
  4. The idea
To translate your message into a visual, I develop a central idea that holds all the design elements together and makes them scalable. It holds the strategy and the atmosphere, i.e. head and heart, together.
  5. Your design
Colours, typography, grid, whitespace, material aum, material, form and visual language – design is created through the interplay of carefully selected components that, in perfect balance, lead to a result that moves and convinces you, me and others. This construction kit of components and a few clear rules for their use is durable and flexible, so that future applications can easily emerge from it.
